EPAs or economic partnership agreements are a form of trade partnership required by the Cotonou Agreement, which includes economic relations between the EU and the African, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) states. THE CARIFORUM, i.e. caricom plus the Dominican Republic, is one of six ACP regional groups. Epae negotiations in the ACP region were officially launched on 27 September 2002 and with the Cariforum on 16 April 2004 in Kingston, Jamaica.
